Betty and Fred visit

Erika's aunt and uncle, Betty and Fred, took the train (!) out from Missouri to see us in Tucson.  Here are a couple of shots from their trip.  We took the opportunity to take our first family self-shot.

Abby's new toy

This week Abby has discovered banging things on the counter. Grandma bought her some stacking toys at Ikea yesterday - and they are light enough to make a loud noise, without seriously injuring her when she hits herself in the head. :)

Abby has been getting up on her arms and legs for a while now, but would get stuck and couldn't go anywhere.  She was very frustrated by this.  :)  But apparently this weekend a few more neurons made connections and she can suddenly move.  This was  video of her first experience but by now she is ranging all over the living room (but still slowly thankfully).  Guess we better go buy some baby-proofing.
